A quick reminder: Our system is criminal

November 10, 2009

As I mention constantly, our government is regularly attacking people, including its own citizens. It’s a fact which, if you ask me, is a little worse than a common criminal invading a person’s home. The government often attacks entire countries, leaving the proverbial trail of dead, yet, ironically, it enjoys popular support by many who claim national borders are highly respectable. But smart sheep won’t cry for custodianship by wolves. We shouldn’t want anyone systematically attacked, left sick, stressed and desperate. We shouldn’t advocate this bogus “norm.” Many existing conditions should be eliminated. Certainly, I don’t know if all economic pressure can be eliminated, but there are many ways to reduce it. We need to question all imposed economic situations, including the taxpayer funded war economy, and challenge all institutional and individual socio-economic inequality from there.

Nationalism: A quick reminder

November 4, 2009

It’s okay to not regard America as the “number one” country on earth.
It’s the mature attitude, actually.

Life is ultimately more than just a game.
It’s not about being able to “win” or “lose.”
There’s more to it than the Highlander philosophy, as there can always be more than one.
Unfortunately, though, some folks have done a very fine job of stuffing
their children’s heads with nationalist ideals.
So pretty please, with sugar on top:  Refrain from doing so with your own children.
